Sanlam Business Market recently hosted another successful Business Network event in Cape Town for past and present beneficiaries of the Sanlam Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) Programme*.

Attendees were treated to an inspiring – and entertaining – presentation by Sizwe Nzima, co-owner of Iyeza Health and 2017 winner of the Emerging Business category in the Entrepreneur of the Year competition. Sizwe mapped the challenges and successes in his entrepreneurial journey from a small bicycle courier concern to building a successful medical supply distribution business.

Jannie Rossouw, Head: Sanlam Business Market, was on hand to give guidance on how to remain a business owner in good standing, sharing valuable insights into the ethics of doing business.

The event was rounded off by Arnold February of Business Partners, Sanlam’s co-sponsor of the prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, who gave an overview of the competition and its importance in this market segment.

Afterwards, ESD participants could mingle to build their business networks and share their experiences with each other.

* The main focus of the Sanlam Enterprise and Supplier Development Programme is to groom small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to become Sanlam suppliers and enable selected financial planning practices to embrace practice management principles and vest productive third-party associations. The programme is aimed at supporting the strategic growth and development of SMEs linked to Sanlam’s supply chain and distribution networks to develop sustainable businesses in order for them to employ more people.
